I’m a hopeless romantic, but never was a writer.  I’ve been more of a story teller all my life and I have plenty of stories to tell.  With much encouragement (pushing and shoving) from friends and colleagues, I began writing a few of my stories.

I’ve had big dreams my whole life.  At 8 years old, I didn’t realize it then, I had my life figured out.  I wanted to move to a big city (the town I grew up in had a population under 2000), I wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to live in a high rise, I wanted to drive a convertible, and I wanted to travel the world.  The one part of my life I hadn’t figured out was love.

I accomplished all of the afore mentioned goals and along the way, kept trying my hand with love.  Trying my hand meant two marriages and two divorces.  I never gave up though and never turned bitter about love.

Besides two bad marriages, I went through some bad boyfriends, disastrous dates, and long conversations with friends as to why it was impossible to find someone.

I eventually gave in to online dating.  This took me down some very new (and bizarre) avenues in the mindset of dating.  I have to say I probably learned as much about myself as I did about dating.

One night, I met “the one” and my life has been an awesome adventure ever since.

I created Finding French Charming at the end of January, 2018.  I wanted to write about my experiences, my thought processes, my failed attempts at love and happiness, and my eventual success so that other people going through the same thing might know they are not alone.  It took me over 40 years to find “Mr. Right” or Prince “French” Charming, so I know it’s possible!  Good things do come to those who wait, but you have to make sure you put yourself out there.
